Dr. Fred L Seevers Memorial Bridge Photography Contest - Submission Window In-Person
The Dr. Fred L Seevers Memorial Bridge -- known to locals as The Green Bridge and known to locals of a certain age as The Silver Bridge -- is scheduled to be replaced in 2026.

Join us in celebrating its history and enduring presence in our community by capturing its image before it's gone! The library is hosting a photography contest to honor the bridge and preserve its memory through art.
How to Participate:
- Take Your Photo: Submit one original 8x10 printed photograph of the Green Bridge that you took yourself. The Green Bridge does not need to be the only thing in the photo but it should be prominent.
- Submit Your Entry: Bring your printed 8x10 photo and a completed entry form to the library during the submission window.
- Submission Window - Saturday, February 9 9:00am through Saturday, February 14 3:00pm
- Vote for Your Favorites: All entries will be displayed in the library for 5 days of public voting.
- Voting Window - Tuesday, February 17 9:00am through Saturday, February 28 12:30pm
- Winner Announcement - Saturday, February 28 1:00pm at the Pleasant Hill Branch
Contest Categories:
Participants must choose only one category for their submission. Entry forms are available at the link below. You can also call to have an entry form emailed to you or you can stop by the branch to pick one up.
- Professional: Individuals who currently earn or have previously earned income from their photography (e.g., selling prints, wedding photography, commercial work).
- Amateur (Ages 18 & Up): Individuals who take photos as a hobby and do not earn income from photography.
- Amateur (Ages 0 - 17): Individuals under the age of 18 who take photos as a hobby and do not earn income from photography.
Voting Rules:
- Voting will take place in the library during the voting window.
- Patrons may cast one vote per person per category per day.
Prizes will be awarded to the top-voted photo in each category! This program is a wonderful opportunity to honor a piece of our local history while showcasing your creative efforts.
