Step Into Adventure: Hiking Tips and Hidden Trails Around Kansas City

Step Into Adventure: Hiking Tips and Hidden Trails Around Kansas City In-Person

Do you want to become more active? To get off the couch and explore nature in Greater Kansas City? This informal presentation will highlight how to discover more than 100 trails in and around our community. These range from short nature walks, to ADA trails that are wheelchair (and stroller) friendly, to challenging overnight adventures. Although you can hike with whatever you have, this presentation will also provide an overview of hiking accessories that may be helpful. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or just beginning, you’ll make a new discovery about the great outdoors in your community.
Roy Harryman, a lifelong local resident and hiker, is the publisher of KansasCityHIker.com. He has a passion to help people discover nature and hiking opportunities in their own backyard. Roy has hiked many miles with his three (now grown) children, including primitive camping and backpacking trips.

Intended for all ages.
