Teen Service Hours In-Person
Calling all teens who are looking to spread some holiday cheer in their community this winter!
Many seniors face challenges getting gifts for their family and friends at Christmas. The Christmas Store allows nursing home residents to pick out gifts for their loved ones for FREE, which eliminates the worries about transportation, money or weather!
We will be making fleece tie blankets for The Christmas Store to help seniors in nursing homes in Cass County.
Materials are provided, but registration is required.
The program is intended for ages 12 to 18.
If you are unable to attend, The Christmas Store is accepting store bought or handmade items that would make good gifts.
Some items that have been popular in the past are:
- Small popcorn tins
- House slippers
- Flannel Shirts
- Blankets
- Board games
- Anything sports related - Royals, Chiefs, Sporting KC, Mizzou, Jayhawks
- Ball hats
- Flannel shirts - sizes XL,2XL,3XL
If you would like to donate to The Christmas Store please drop items off to the Pleasant Hill Branch by December 7th.
