Eating Smart - Being Active In-Person

“Eating Smart Being Active offers research-based information about nutrition, physical activity, food safety and making the most of your food dollars. It is a FREE program provided by the University of Missouri Extension Family Nutrition Education Programs (FNEP). Through a series of engaging lessons and discussions, you will have the opportunity to prepare new recipes, be physically active and learn tips for making healthy choices for yourself and your family.”

Instructor: Ellen Bloomer-Thornton is a Nutrition Program Associate for the Family Nutrition Education Program (FNEP).  FNEP educators present the most current information from the federal Dietary Guidelines for Americans, the USDA food graphic, and other evidence-based sources so people can achieve lifelong health and fitness through balanced diets and active lifestyles.

Intended for ages 17 and up.
