A dream catcher is used to protect sleepers from bad dreams. It consists of a circular hoop, wrapped in webbing or string, and decorated with feathers and beads. The center of the dream catcher is said to collect any negative thoughts and terrible dreams, while the feathers and beads let the good dreams pass through.
